The citybyke Automated Shared Cycle Scheme allows the automated use of high quality bikes by your staff. Helping to ensure your staff have a sustainable, simple solution for travelling short trips.
Bikes are accessed via the use of authorised swipecards which enables them to remove a bike which is located at an Automated Docking Post. The bike is 'paired' to your staff member producing data relating to who removed the bike and at what time. When the member of staff returns or re-docks the bike at their destination they simply dock the bike to an Automated Docking Post. A simple high quality solution for the changing needs and demands of your staff and the environment.

How it Works for your staff -
- Member of staff decides they want to hire a bike
- Staff member is issued with an access card.
- The member of staff swipes their card adjacent to the Automated Docking Post. The bike can be removed.
- Staff member uses the bike to ride to their destination
- Bike is re-docked and secured to an Automated Docking Post at destination
- Usage by the staff member is automatically uploaded to enable use profile to be recorded.
The bikes
Our bikes are hand made in Stratford-upon-Avon by Pashley. They are probably the highest quality bikes made in any volume within the UK having a heritage stretching back to 1920. citybyke exclusively use these bikes and are pleased to announce the strategic alliance with this traditional manufacturer.
Software and system design
All software and tracking technology is supplied by Shere Ltd. a UK based manufacturer of ticketing systems and payment technology. Many UK rail operators use Shere for their software and call centre functions. citybyke have a strategic alliance with Shere who provide the software design and call centre function.
Complete solution
Citybyke fund the entire capital cost of the installation and charge a monthly fee to yourselves to cover the following -
- Insurance
- Ongoing maintenance and service
- Replacement bikes and upgrades
- Repairs
Tax Benefits
